WhatEvery1Says (WE1S) is a Mellon-funded project that uses digital methods to understand how the humanities have been portrayed in popular media since the 1980s. That research then informs tools and resources that can help everyone from students to politicians support the humanities. The project is based at the University of California, Santa Barbara; California State University, Northridge; and the University of Miami.
I am a Postdoctoral Scholar with the project, and the Director of the WE1S Curriculum Lab. The Curriculum Lab oversees research that is particularly related to the way students experience the humanities in higher education.
